Special event in May was for the pilgrims to meet famous footballer from Shakhtar Donetsk – half defence Fernandinio who came to Mariupol to have a meeting with Christians from different churches who show interest in footballn ( soccer).

The guys from Pilgrim were invited to the meeting too. The footballer told about his sports life, trainings and victories. All those who were present there could also ask Fernandinio soem questions. The folks from Pilgrim were curious sure enough so they asked quite a bit of questions about sports and personal stuff. After the official part of the meeting everyone could come up personally to the footballer to have a brief chat or to take a picture.

The prominant football player was listening to the kids with enthusiasm when they shared about their personal achievements in sports.

Fernandinio encouraged the guys to go on doing sports feats and assured them that it doesn’t really matter what age you start doing football, – the most important is not to stop on half way through.
