One of the basic tasks in upbringing of difficult adolescents – to teach them to notice and to remember not only their own difficulties and they have a lot of them behind their back but also to learn to respond to the need and pain of other people. It forms in them a sacrificial heart and a good character. Practice showed that it is not hard to implement these qualities to them since the pilgrims are very responsive. When they see that they are treated well they joyfully start helping others.

The building of the Republic Pilgrim was built 15 years ago and the capital renovation in it also took place 15 years ago. The management of the Charity Fund “Pilgrim” aspire to create most favorable conditions for the kids to live and study this is why the question of remodeling and maintenance of the premises are always on the agenda.

The New Year’s season the pilgrims celebrated in the orphanage “The Father’s House” in the outskirts of Kiev. The kids were received there with such warmth and joy that they didn’t want to leave the place afterwards. The very new Year’s Eve the children met at the main Christmas tree of Ukraine they got to see many historic places of Kiev, saw famous cultural monuments, used the Subway of the capital that was for many kids quite an impression since they were there for the 1st time.

The documentary “ Crocodile Gennadiy” of the American director Steve Hoover was given the main award of the festival of author documentary films “ ArtDocFest” that was over in St Petersburg in the 16 th of December.

The President of the State of Former Street Kids and the Cabinet of “Republic Pilgrim” established the award “The medal for the defense of “Pilgrim” during the war”. The children who experienced evacuation from their native city twice would like to thank in such a way those people who helped them to go through this tough time.

The center of children’s rehabilitation “Republic Pilgrim” at the Charity Fund “ Pilgrim” initiated and due to open hearts of the management of supermarkets of the city has been holding for several years now the action “ Let’s make the party for orphans”.

The snap elections of the President and the government took place in “Republic Pilgrim”. According to the results of secret ballot for the first time the head of the executive power of the Republic has become a girl – Darja Malykhina. The citizens of the State of Former Street Kids and all the pedagogical personnel are convinced that she will bring something new and unusual to the life of Pilgrim.

The director of the center of children’s rehabilitation “Republic Pilgrim” Tatyana Karpukhina has become a winner of the annual contest “The Mariupolite of the year” in the area of “Care for children”.

Thousands of people from Donetsk and Lugansk areas who were involved in the war conflict suffer the hardships and tests of refugees and forcibly displaced persons. They left their apartments or houses ruined by the war losing practically everything, saving their lives and the lives of their children and dear ones. Overnight they were left without a job, place to stay and any means for living. The charity fund “Pilgrim” didn’t stay aside from the plight of our compatriots and has been trying to render the help to the afflicted families for over a year now.
