Alyona Koval has been living in different orphanages since the age of 10 and she’s been dreaming to have a real family. During the conference of the alliance “Ukraine without orphans” her dream came true.

In the mid of November in Kiew there was a conference “Ukraine without orphans”. For the first time over 500 delegates from all over Ukraine gathered together at the national event like that which took place in Congress hall of President Hotel, they assembled to discuss the strategy of efficient help to orphans and to kids left behind without parental care.

Pastor of the “Church of Good Changes” Gennadiy Mokhnenko alongside with his foster son, former street kid, champion of Ukraine in boxing Roma Chebotaryov were invited to European churches of Czech Republic and Germany.

The long awaited novel of the pastor pilgrim Gennadiy Mokhnenko “Nonpedagogical poem” was issued. Its issue is dedicated to the 10 th anniversary of the center of children’s rehabilitation “Republic Pilgrim” which was opened by the Charity Fund “Pilgrim” in Mariupol, Ukraine.

Last Sunday there was triathlon competitions in Orange County, CA. It was quite unordinary contest. All the partakers were disabled people. Fermin N. Camarena – one of them – dedicated his race to “Republic Pilgrim”.

One of these days there was a special day in “Republic Pilgrim” – the official ceremony to the commission to be students. The heroes of the day were not only first graders but the new comers – new citizens of the state of former street kids who started studying for the 1st time in their entire life.

The birthday of the city of Mariupol is a especial holiday for the Republic Pilgrim. The former street kids love their city and they celebrate this day always in a special way. This time they had a special surprise.

After the extreme summer with trips and journeys the pilgrims started to study again. The first day of study is always special for the pilgrims. The staff and the kids get prepared for this day in advance: they get the school uniform ready, organize a special concert – the children learn poems by heart. And everybody – kids and teachers look forward to this day.

Almost a year ago at the Charity Fund “Pilgrim” was open and successfully functions a rehab project in the village Polevoe named Crisis – center. This is a place where homeless people can sleep as well as those who are drunkards, addicts and many others. Here they can come to, they will be rendered help, tidied, and then offered to change their life, to have a rehab course and to start to live as normal people.
