Retro autumn of the pilgrims
In “Republic Pilgrim” the fall ball in retro style took place. The main purpose of this event was to help the guys to open their potential, to have a talent contest as well as to congratulate the staff of the center on the Teacher’s Day.

Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany. 20 mariupolites rode along these countries on their bikes This summer alongside with the founder of the Charity Fund Pilgrim, Pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko.

Around the world on bikes for the sake of orphans – for them to find families.
The team from Mariupol travel around Europe to attract the attention to street kids. The bike action was initiated by the priest of the Pentecostal church Gennadiy Mokhnenko. He went to the worldwide bike tour alongside with his adopted kids. “It is so unfair because there is a thousand of families for each orphan in our country” – states Gennadiy Mokhnenko who is the adoptive father of 32 kids and 3 biological ones.

The bike tour from the Eastern Ukraine to Helsinki – “The situation there is tough, the fighting goes on daily”
The group of the former street kids has arrived on their bikes to the Narinkkatori square ahead with the Pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko. The bike tour along the northern Europe on the idea of the initiators must attract attention to the situation in the East of Ukraine and to the problems of orphaned kids.

In August 9th in Helsinki the solemn meeting of the partakers of the worldwide bike action “ The world without orphans” took place.

Latvia must become a country without orphans
At the end of this week the group of cyclists rode into Riga within the worldwide journey under the motto” The world without orphans”. All of them are former street kids who once were fostered by the pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko – the founder of the largest in the countries of CIS children’ rehab center “Republic Pilgrim”. As the priest shared in the interview to the program of the Latvian radio 4 “ day by day” his purpose here is to debunk the myths and stereotypes about adoption that exist in the Latvian society

The former street kids left the borders of Ukraine within the worldwide bike tour “ The World without orphans” and they continue their way along Europe. The first European country has become a friendly Poland

The participants of the worldwide bike tour entered the city of Lviv in the 11th of July and about 50 cyclists rode through the city center of Lviv within the bike action around the world “Ukraine and the world without orphans”.

Around the world with the mission of adoption
The cyclists from Mariupol are making a bike tour along the countries of the North and the west of Europe

On bikes around the world: the participants of the bike action «Ukraine without orphans» have arrived in the city of Rivne.
On bikes they ride to Europe. During the next 2 months the children will overcome 300 miles. A small group of enthusiastic young men who used to be orphans in the past travel around the world and call upon all people to fight against orphanhood. Today within the bike tour the cyclists reached Rivne.

The famous Ukrainian pastor – volunteer with his adopted kids have conquered the Mount Blanc
Pastor – volunteer from Mariupol, adoptive father of 33 orphans Gennadiy Mokhnenko with his adopted sons have conquered the Mont Blanc. In spite of the tough weather conditions – “ crazy wind, hellish cold, abrupt precipices on both sides from a 20 inches icy path”, the pastor and 6 of his kids ascended the highest mountain of Western Europe and by this feat they completed their worldwide trip within the charity tour “ The World without orphans!”. This what Gennadiy Mokhnenko who has recently become a character in the movie “ Mariupol. Ukrainian outpost” has shared on his Facebook page.

Every year the school graduation of the kids of “Republic Pilgrim” is a touching and joyous moment at the same time. The guys always remain in the hearts of those who took part in making the difference in their life. And even after many years they gladly come to Pilgrim for a visit.

At his age of 14 Bogdan experienced lots of tragedies. When his Dad found out that his Mom was pregnant with the third child he left the family and left Bogdan. It upset the boy so much that the subsequent events turned his existence into a series of endless ordeal, hardship and hopelessness.

The former drug addict from Mariupol shares a story of how he was saved twice and saw different life
The issue of drug addiction hasn’t disappeared from the streets of Mariupol. Just like it was in 90-s the category of people who smoke different substances, use injective drugs or other substances provoking addiction is still present today. This dark side of life is known only to very narrow category of specialist such as doctors, policemen, pastors of churches and relatives of addicted people.

The second edition of the book about former street kids “Non pedagogical poem” has been issued in Ukraine
The book is written on the basis of real stories of lives of street kids. Its goal is to give the readers opportunity to rethink their attitude to little vagabonds and to encourage them to be direct partakers of good changes in their lives. Each chapter of “Non pedagogical poem” is accompanied with caricatures that illustrate a story happened to kids in “Republic Pilgrim”.
