The second half of the school year in the Republic Pilgrim. The Center of Children’s Rehabilitation Republic Pilgrim was in the quarantine mode as  all educational institutions. But in the face of uncertainty the ninth graders were still able to complete the next stage in their lives and had an unforgettable graduation party.

Spring at Pilgrim, like in the rest of the world, turned out to be difficult.  The unstable economic situation in Ukraine has noticeably shaken due to the coronovirus pandemic. Food prices have been raised abruptly, many people have lost their jobs, and means of living have declined. The citizens of the state of former street kids also felt a serious crisis. The solution to the problem was the development of a small subsidiary farm in order to be able to provide the kids with food from their own land plots.

The holiday house for the former street kids. This project at the Charity Fund “Pilgrim” has long ceased to be the project for recreation and picnics. Today it is an integral part of the subsidiary farm in the village of “Pilgrim”, which can grow into a real farm that can significantly improve the nutrition of the children and wards in other projects of the fund.

The coronavirus pandemic did not bypass the Children’s Rehabilitation Center “Pilgrim Republic”. The kids are in quarantine and it undoubtedly changed the rhythm of life of the kids, teachers and the charity fund as a whole.

The pilgrims made an incredible tour around the world. The citizens of the state of former street kids,  the guests and a competent jury were able to immerse themselves in the multicultural atmosphere of the show that has recently been performed by the kids and teens in the center of children’s rehabilitation «Republic Pilgrim».

In the past year, the pilgrims brought a piece of miracle, showing the production about the Birth of the King in the “Republic Pilgrim” . They wanted everyone who came to the celebration to be able to plunge into the brightest and kindest story that ever happened in the world.

The adoptive father of 33 kids , the chaplain of the Ukrainian army, the founder of the largest children’s rehab center at the territory of the former Soviet Union “Republic Pilgrim”, the Mariupol pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko gave an exclusive interview to the portal 49000.com.ua.   The public figure told about the war, about raising kids and about main mistakes  in life.

Expensive, shocking and full of glitter – the first thing that comes to mind when mentioning the “Hollywood Party”. The pilgrims created with their own hands the atmosphere of the cinematic city. They walked along the red carpet, and then received their Oscars.

When modern Ukrainian children, as part of the school curriculum, go through the story of wars, they do not realize that they will be able to experience it in the real life. But that’s how the story of the total change in the life of the girl named Tanya began. At that time she had lived in the city of Gorlovka and had been hiding in the basement of the house for two months, each time trembling from terror of explosions and fallen shells.

The elections in the rehabilitation center “ Pilgrim” is a great opportunity to teach the kids to take a responsibility on them and to develop their leadership gifs. The kids are convinced that in order for the Republic to prosper it must have a strong and honest government ahead of it.
